Today I thought it would be a good idea to hire a car with some friends from the hostel and head out to explore some of the scenery of the Argentine lakes district. A 10 year old fiat uno into which we ained to fit 5 of us sounded like a good idea at the time, but after about an hour driving over unpaved roads covered in rocks, mud and snow we weren't so sure.... Still, the little car made it, and we got to see some amazing scenery, lakes, mountains, forests, and the massive, desolate patagonian plains. The sky here is bigger than it is in England.
